My dear Shelley,
Can you please tell what is it you actually want for life? Why do you repeatedly make the same mistakes over and over again. I thought you realized your weakness back in 2007, but what are you doing right now? I loved you insolence back then. Laissez-faire, leave everything to itself, leave your feelings to yourself. Why are you becoming less and less mature as time goes by? Is this supposed to be sarcastic? You were supposed to be completely fine, but you just had to ruin this for yourself. Now, what are you supposed to do? You have so much work to finish. You simply can't procrastinate. You can't waste your time on anything or anyone. She is right. If you keep your attitude, you are bound to suffer great loss.
Ok, let's face it. Your first SAT was not a complete failure, but you certainly did not reach your goal. What is your goal anyways? 2200? 2300? You saw Jo's transcripts and activities. She is some an amazing person, but she was still waitlisted at Harvard (fine, fine, she ended up getting scholarship to Princeton). I admit that Tiffany has been less and less attractive lately. Remember how much you liked her old blogs? Remember how you figured out her secrets with Carl the one night you were falling asleep? You were disappointed when you realized that Carl and Tiffany each married a different person, understandable. Sure, they loved each other. They seemed like they were designed for each other, similar age, family, experience, etc...but the ending is still separation no matter what? So what lesson did you learn from their story? They had loved each other dearly, but after everything ends, they can still love again. Carl didn't want to be with Tiffany because she had to work overseas. She realized he doesn't love her like he loves himself, unforgivable. He never even cared to try. Why be together? I admire her for having an iron fist. He claims that he loves you, that you are important to him, blah, blah, blah...and he can't even make sacrifices for you. She's in love right now with a different person and their passion was lasting. Who cares about the past? End of story
Think about calculus. What are you going to do? Obviously going to a tutor is not that much help. You must work yourself. The exam is in two month, so you must, I say must, start studying right now. Your parents have made sacrifices for you. Cherish what you have. The ones who can't seem to cherish and love you. Well, let's tell them that they can now go to hell.
Love,
